About Us About Us
To be or not to be?
That timeless poser by the bard never fails to connect the human existence with art. But is art just meant to hang on the periphery walls of our lives, or can it play a deeper role in the human day? Stimulating us with sweetness and melancholy, beauty and intrigue. Curving our lips into a smile, widening our eyes with wonder, filling our hearts with joy.
And does art have to be confined to a book, theatre, museum or iPod? Can it not project stories of brilliance that alleviate and inspire life, even from a rug in your hall?
That is the question.
And much like a flying carpet, it led us on a hand-knotted journey spanning artist and artisan, Tibet and Argentina, Sheridan wool and mulberry silk, genius and technology.
The result of that magnificent collusion is this collection of handmade rugs inspired by the universe, designed by artists, hand-tufted by artisans, and made surreal by Metaverse.
We call it Art De Rug. Each piece is a unique work of art, now waiting to augment reality and fantasy from the floor. On to your wall, into your day. Into your heart, and into your mind.
It’s a collector’s item, it can be an heirloom, but it can never be about decorating a home. The purpose of this art is to beautify life.
